This site is run by SunWish Media. It collects as little as it can get away with, and this page describes all of it.
What is collected
There are only two ways this site receives information about you.
The newsletter sign-up
If you fill in the sign-up form, you submit your first name and email address. Nothing else is requested and nothing else is stored by the form.
That submission passes through three services:
- Netlify hosts this site and receives the form submission.
- Zapier passes the submission on automatically.
- AWeber holds the mailing list and sends the emails.
Each of those companies has its own privacy policy governing the data while it is with them.
Ordinary server logs
Like any website, this one is served by a host that records standard technical information about requests — things like IP address, browser type and which page was requested. This is generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure and is used for security and reliability rather than for tracking individuals.
What is not collected
- No birth details. This site does not calculate charts or offer readings, so it never asks for a birth date, time or place.
- No payment information. Purchases happen on external platforms, never on this site.
- No accounts, logins or profiles.
- No advertising network trackers.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. It has no analytics script, no advertising pixels and no social tracking tags.
Two exceptions worth naming. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads. And if you use the "Save to Pinterest" button on an article, Pinterest will see that request and may apply its own cookies under its own policy. Neither happens unless you load the page or click the button.
If you join the list
- You receive one email a week, plus the occasional additional note.
- Your address is not sold, rented or shared.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate and permanent.
- Emails may contain affiliate links, which are disclosed within the email.
Affiliate and commercial links
Some links on this site and in the newsletter are affiliate links, meaning a small commission may be earned on a purchase at no additional cost to you. Where a page carries one, it says so on the page. See about this site for the full list of how the site is supported.
Your information, and removing it
You can ask at any time what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted entirely. In practice this means your name and email address on the mailing list, since that is the only personal information this site holds.
Email sunwishmedia@gmail.com. Say what you would like done and it will be actioned. You do not need to give a reason.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted their details, email the address above and it will be removed.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
